Where to Stay in St Vincent and the Grenadines

The island you sleep on shapes the whole trip. Here is how to choose — and where.

There are three very different kinds of stay in SVG. St Vincent has the capital, the airport, the sights and practical, good-value hotels, mostly on the south coast around Villa Beach. Bequia is the relaxed middle ground: guesthouses and small resorts around a lively harbour. And the southern Grenadines are home to a handful of world-famous — and expensive — island resorts.

Ratings, review counts and "from" prices below were taken from Trip.com and are shown in US dollars, as Trip.com displays them; they change constantly. Where a resort is not listed on Trip.com with a verifiable page, we link to a Trip.com search instead and show no score or price.

After Hurricane Beryl: several properties in the southern Grenadines (Union Island, Mayreau, Canouan, Palm Island and PSV) were damaged in July 2024. Many have reopened, some are still rebuilding — confirm current status before you book.

How to choose

  • First visit, one week? Three nights on St Vincent, four on Bequia.
  • Came for the beaches and the Tobago Cays? Base yourself on Bequia or Union, or treat yourself to a private-island resort.
  • Early flight home? Spend the last night near Argyle airport.
  • Chartering a yacht? Sleep at Blue Lagoon the night before you pick up the boat.

Booking tips

  • Book the Christmas–Easter high season months ahead: the islands have few rooms.
  • Check whether rates include the government VAT and service charge.
  • On small islands, ask your hotel to arrange transfers — boats and planes do not always meet each other.
